FAQ Reformer Pilates

Reformers are a type Pilates equipment. Reformers utilize springs to provide resistance training to Pilates exercises. Reformers look like a bed-like frame with a carriage that moves back and forth. Because of its movement, reformers provide excellent core stability workouts. Reformers are customizable to personalize your workout in an easy way to provide optimum resistance and assistance to your workout. 

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. For reformer classes, grippy sock are required but if you forget them, we sell them at the studio. Bring a water. 

All sessions are booked for 1 hour. 55 minutes of exercise including warm up & cool down, 5 minutes is allocated to wiping down your Reformer machine down with disinfectant & gathering your belongings. 

Mat Pilates is done on the floor using just your bodyweight, while equipment Pilates uses specialized machines and equipment to add resistance and support to your movements.

Yes! Pilates is a form of resistance strength training. Our reformer classes use springs for resistance as well as weighted props. 

Pilates is an excellent forms of exercise during and after pregnancy. If you feel comfortable, please share with your instructor so we can best support you during class. If you have previous experience in Reformer Pilates & doctor clearance we are happy to accept you into the studio. Please advise the trainer prior to class. 

We understand that circumstances may require class cancellations. However, to maintain fairness, we enforce a 12-hour cancellation policy.

Classes cancelled with over 12 hours’ notice will have MMS credits returned to your account. Cancellations within 12 hours forfeit credits. Unlimited/trial members late cancel there is a £10 fee. No-show there is a £10 fee. Our trainers are compensated for their time regardless of attendance, so please be mindful of the team and fellow clients on the waitlists.
